Mamelodi Sundowns Suffered a Disappointing 2-1 Loss Against Kaizer Chiefs

Pitso Mosimane challenge the African Champions to run remaining League games unbeaten yesterday. Later in the evening Kaizer Chiefs proved that to be a myth.

Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane told his team to try and run the remaining PSL games unbeaten starting with their game against Kaizer Chiefs yesterday.

The coach made it clear that it not going to be easy with some players on and off the pitch due to the injuries resulting from a busy schedule. Sundowns has the possibility of having to play 17 games in 53 days from the 2nd of April.

"That's why this week I said to the players 'Do you think that you can win all the games left? Is it possible? Is not easy, but is possible. There is Chelsea doing it why can't we try and do it," Pitso Mosimane said.

Pitso has admitted that building a winning team is not easy, more especially with some of his key players missing, but to win PSL titles a team has to run games unbeaten. Mosimane added that when missing the CBD [Castro, Billiat and Dolly] and Anthony Laffor is on and off the pitch it becomes a problem.

"When they are all available you know that we can win the league and we can go on a long run of 10 to 12 matches unbeaten, which is the only way to win the league," Mosimane said.

That prove not to be the case yesterday as Kaizer Chiefs nailed Mamelodi Sundowns a 2-1 defeat. Although the CBD was not in full but Billiat, Laffor and the youngster Percy Tau were available but they still lost against the Soweto giant Kaizer Chiefs.

Mamelodi Sundowns still have a chance to win the league title because the team has few games in hand, which can help them to bypass the setbacks they had with the previous 3 matches.
